Brendan "Brush" Shiels
Brendan "Brush" Shiels has enjoyed a lifetime as one of Irelands best loved entertainers. In the late sixties Brush launched Skid Row, a Dublin trio. This band wrote songs with strong blues guitar parts and folk lyrics. Brush was the bassist, singer and songwriter for most of the tracks, while one of the first lead vocalists was the legendary Phil Lynott. Brush recently reformed Skid Row after seeing in his son's music magazine a long haired band from the US started by Bon Jovi's manager Doc Magee who called themselves "Skid Row". Brush says it wasn't them stealing his bands name that annoyed him but the amount of hair they had. He himself is follicly-challenged. Brush was also at one stage managed by Louis Walsh, belive it or not! This Celtic rocker obviously still has the 'X Factor' as he continues to perform in some of the top venues throughout Ireland and the UK. |

Rob Strong
Rob's career began in the early 60's. Possessing one of the most unique rock and blues voices of his era, Rob continues to tour extensively throughout Europe and the United States. Having carved a career and reputation in his own right, he is probably just as famous these days for being the father of Andrew Strong, of the Commitments fame. Returning to Ireland in 1976 Rob decided to embark on a solo career and formed the "Rob Strong Band". Despite an absence of over four years form the Irish "live" circuit, the band quickly developed a sizeable and loyal following with Rob's gravely vocals and incredible range. Often compared to the likes of Joe Cocker and Ray Charles, the Rob Strong Band have become renowned for delivering a high energy, hard rocking set. |

Katsquire
Katsquire was formed in the late 1980's as a fun project by three Rock 'n Roll loving musicians from South Wales. The three had played separately with various international bands and had numerous successful recording projects under their belts. After years of touring and song writing, in the mid 1990's Katsquire took time out to pursue other music ventures. They eventually reformed adding a different spectrum of music, spreading from Rock 'n Roll to across the board lively, fun music. Always guaranteed to be more than entertaining! |
